What will you be doing?
Adult support co-ordinators play a major part of the work we do in the Adult and Autism Team. You’ll be working with adults to explore their need for care and support services, along with their informal carers. You will also work with younger people as they approach adult services. It will be crucial that you work in partnership with them in order to establish needs and ensure they’re met, drawing on wider community resources, their own strengths and abilities and funded support
About you
You won’t need to have a social work qualification but knowledge, experience and understanding of the needs of adults with support needs will be essential to succeed in the role. Working knowledge and experience of working with those with Autism and or other neurodivergence, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Cambridgeshire County Council's Adult Social Care policies and procedures will also be an advantage, particularly around wellbeing and outcomes.
