About the role

The Education Capital and Places Planning Team have exciting opportunities for strategic thinkers who want to make a difference to the lives of Cambridgeshire’s children. These permanent positions are ideally suited to those with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills who excel working on long term, complex projects.

The team has a statutory responsibility to provide sufficient early years and childcare, school and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities places across Cambridgeshire. We work closely with Early Years settings, schools, Academy Trusts, the Department of Education, planning teams, developers, consultants and contractors to achieve this.

There are three positions available, a full time post with an Early Years focus, a full time post with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities focus and a 0.8 post with a Capital Education focus. If you are invited to interview you will be asked which position you would prefer, or whether you would like to be considered for all the opportunities. 

Applicants need to be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate their excellent project management skills, commitment to Equality and Diversity and ability to think strategically.

We will consider applications for full or part time working, subject to being able to deliver the overall team capacity required.
