Cambridgeshire County Council is offering exciting opportunities across a number of roles within the Asset Management Group in the Highways Maintenance Team. Concerning this role:
The delivery and development of high-quality asset management is vital to the future economic wellbeing of Cambridgeshire. These roles will be responsible for driving the asset management processes and culture of the highway maintenance team.
To assist the team in the technical aspects of day-to-day maintenance and management of highways assets and use of asset management and performance data. To work with Pavement Management and other asset management systems, to provide information on schemes and programmes to stakeholders and provide technical expertise for reports and briefings.
In person interviews to be conducted on Wednesday 15th November and Thursday 16th November 2023.
What will you be doing?
The maintenance and development of our highway infrastructure is vital to the future economic wellbeing of Cambridgeshire.
The skills required are considerable and require an engineering knowledge and understanding of asset management, highway asset condition data, performance management, project management, procurement and commissioning of infrastructure projects and stakeholder engagement. Training will be provided to candidates demonstrating the required aptitudes.
In addition, the roles will require a strong ability to work across a wide range of key stakeholder groups including Member, Parish and District Councils, resident and businesses and internal teams across the Service.
The roles support the Group Manager and other managers within the Highway Maintenance team in delivering the Council’s objectives, through joined-up service planning, community engagement and the flexible use of resources.

You will need to work closely with many stakeholders both internal and external. Collaboration, enthusiasm, determination, and an attention to detail are a must, as well as a focus on delivering value for money and getting it right first time for our communities.
