About the role
Cambridgeshire County Council’s Place and Sustainability Directorate delivers services across areas such as transport, new infrastructure, roads, and the environment. It aims to manage and deliver the growth and development of sustainable communities, meet the challenges of climate change and enhance the natural environment.
The Road Safety team sits within the Transport Strategy and Network Management Service and is looking to develop a centre of excellence within the Council across road safety disciplines. The Council has recently adopted a Vision Zero strategy aiming to eliminate road deaths and severe injuries by 2040 and is looking for people who share this ambitious vision to join the team leading on the Safe Road and Safe Road User aspects of this strategy.
The service operates flexibly, with opportunities to work remotely as well as a central base in Huntingdon but the ability to travel to different locations across the county is essential.
For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Simon Burgin on 07388 371060.
Interviews will be held w/c 17 June 2024 at Stanton House, Stanton Way, Huntingdon PE29 6XL.
