Business Officer - Adolescent Service

About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Adolescent Service as a Part Time (24 Hours) Business Officer. We happy to be flexible with the days you will work but due to service need, we have a preference for one of your working days to be a Friday. This is a varied role which will include supporting front line practitioners with Admin duties, to include updating electronic files and arranging meetings, along with supporting the service with finance tasks and minuting of meetings.

There will be a mixture of office and home working for this role.

You will be based in Ely but may be required to travel to alternative office location on occasions.

Interviews will be held in Ely on Wednesday 17th April 2024.

What will you be doing?

The role will be supporting the work of the Adolescents teams within Children's Social Care. This role will include monitoring a shared mailbox for a variety of tasks, organising and minuting meetings and dealing with any follow up work. The role includes purchasing services and goods for the team on a company credit card, creating and updating spreadsheets, processing invoices and other finance tasks along with general administration duties.

About you

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as this is a varied role. You will need good administration skills and the ability to prioritise. 

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to  deadlines. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel) and be able to use databases and in house software.
