Business Officer - Adolescents

About the role

The Adolescents Service requires 1 part time Business Officer. This is a 24 hour per week vacancy with a preferred working pattern of Monday to Thursday, based in Wisbech, however there is some flexibility around the working days. This is a hybrid role with a mixture of office and home-based working.

What will you be doing?

Your role will be supporting the work of the Adolescents teams within Children's Social Care. This role will include monitoring a shared mailbox for a variety of tasks, organising and minuting meetings and dealing with any follow up work. The role includes purchasing services and goods for the team, creating and updating spreadsheets, processing invoices and other finance tasks along with general administration duties. You will need to be organised and have the ability to manage your own workload and daily tasks.

 

About you

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as this is a varied role and will also include answering the phone, updating spreadsheets and any other tasks as necessary.

You will need good administration skills and the ability to prioritise as this is a fast-paced role with short statutory deadlines. Along with diary management, you will need excellent customer service and communication skills as you will be liaising with various other staff and service managers.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel) and be able to use databases.

• A salary offered at Scale 4, SCPs 7 to 11 (£22,369 - £24,054 pro rata) Pay Award Pending
