Business Officer - Fostering Service

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Fostering Service as a full time (37 hour) Business Officer.

The role will require you to provide high quality administrative support to the wider team including processing of foster carer and special guardianship applications, completing annual reviews of all carers, completing statutory checks within a strict timescale, liaising with internal and external parties such as medical advisors, social workers and foster carers via email, letter and telephone, processing invoices and inputting data via excel. You will also assist with organising Equipment Servicing and submitting Transport Requests for our Foster Carers with disabled children. There will also be an expectation to support with and cover the Foster Panel on occasion so minute taking experience is desirable.

The role will be based at Scott House in Huntingdon. Staff undertaking this role are currently working in a hybrid way; working from home & the office throughout the week.

About you

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to deadlines. You should have a methodical, concise and flexible approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel) and be able to use databases.
