About the role

Cambridge Accommodation Services is based in central Cambridge and supports tenants with learning disabilities in a respite, residential and supported living setting. We support and empower individuals to enhance the quality of their life, maximise potential and to continue to promote and develop independence skills within their home or whilst staying at respite.

An opportunity has arisen to lead and manage these services. Ensuring Cambridgeshire County Council’s policies and procedures are followed and legal CQC standards are met. You will also be supporting the Operational Manager with service development.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Operation Manager, you will manage and work inline with CQC standards and deliver safe and effective services for our service users. You will be legally responsible for compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated legislation.

You will be leading and managing a team of staff including supporting their development, annual appraisals and recruiting.

Engaging with service users and their families or carers to ensure that they have appropriate support and health action plans that are reviewed in a timely manor. Conducting risk assessments and where needed, behaviour plan for people using the service.

 

 

There will also be the need to appropriately manage delegated budgets, deliver service plans and action outline plans.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience of managing a team and have good verbal and written communication skills to liaise with a wide range of people.

You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults, writing support plans and knowledge of CQC and other relevant legislation (see job description and person specification).

It is also essential to have a level 3 in Health and Social Care before starting the role and complete a recognised level 4-5 management qualification in post if you don't already hold this.
