About the role

Cambridgeshire County Council Targeted Support Service provides support to children, young people, and their families. Each district team consists of Family Workers, Child and Family Centre workers, Young People’s Worker’s, Senior Transitions Advisors, Transitions Advisors, Client Researchers, and managers. The team provides targeted early intervention support and Child and Family Centre services to reduce the risk of harm and the escalation of problems, which support keeping families together and achieve positive outcomes.   

The post of Child and Family Centre Assistant Manager (CFCAM) is an exciting role, providing local leadership and coordination of targeted support and Child and Family Centre services in a specific geographical area. We are looking to recruit a full time, fixed term CFCAM for the Ramsey Sawtry Yaxley and St Neots district.

What will you be doing?

Within the role you will manage and lead a targeted support team of Family Workers and Child and Family Centre Workers through the application of Think Family principles, working with other managers, social care colleagues, schools, health and other partner agencies.

You will work closely with managers in the wider district team in regard to supporting Family Work practice, and you may act as the lead for the district Child and Family Centre services in specific themed areas of work or with specific partner agencies.

  • Have a clear vision for the future that is focussed on improving outcomes for children and young people in all aspects of their lives. 

  • The ability to inspire others to think and behave differently.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.  Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. 

You will be required to hold a full and valid driving license and have access to a vehicle or have the ability to otherwise travel efficiently between locations.
