About the role

Cambridgeshire Early Years Service has an exciting and fulfilling opportunity for a Childcare Practitioner to join the team at Oasis Day Nursery, Wisbech.

The Nursery is a 38-place setting and was inspected by Ofsted in April 2023 with a Good outcome. The nursery is directly run and managed by Cambridgeshire County Council.

This post is 16 hours per week term time only with hours and days to be agreed and initially for a fixed term until 31st March 2025.

Pay scale: NJC point 1 - £12 per hour.

What will you be doing?

Contributing to and supporting a high quality, inclusive play and learning environment which meets the needs of all children attending. You will work as part of a team to provide a warm, caring and enabling environment in which all individual children can play and learn.

You will build and maintain strong partnerships with parents/carers to enable children’s individual needs to be met and to support partnerships with other professionals.

About you

The successful candidate will have an understanding or willingness to learn about the Early Years Foundation Stage and have a passion for working in early years. You will have the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and responds to their individual needs.

Previous experience is desirable, but not essential.

Cambridgeshire County Council and Oasis Nursery are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all staff and volunteers are required to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
