About the role

The Adolescent Team is recruiting for a Children's Practitioner. It is an exciting time to be joining a social care team in Cambridgeshire and you will be well supported by your colleagues and managers. 

The purpose of the role of a Children’s Practitioner is to intervene with families open to the adolescent service, which will include evaluating, supporting, planning and coordinating services to vulnerable children and their families in accordance with national Social Work and Health Care legislation, regulations, guidance and local policies and procedures. We would expect the ideal candidate to have experience of working with vulnerable children and families, have knowledge of Social Work legislation and national policies that concern vulnerable children. 

You don’t have to be social work qualified but you need to be dedicated and passionate about supporting young people and their families as you will be undertaking direct work with them under the guidance of social work practitioners. In addition, you will be expected to work closely with partner agencies developing a specialist service that is flexible and responsive to the needs of the families in the community.

The team base will be based in Cambridgeshire but the ability to travel will also be essential.
