Commissioning Manager - Adult Social Care

About the role

As a result of recent changes to the service, Cambridgeshire County Council are looking to appoint a number of Commissioning Managers to its Adult Social Care Commissioning Team.  

We have a number of roles available on both a permanent and fixed term basis. They are part of a team responsible for commissioning a full range of adult social care provision across Cambridgeshire. 

The posts are based in our offices at Alconbury/Huntingdon and we offer hybrid working, supported by flexible and agile working practices. Some travel will be required across the county.

What will you be doing?

Working across a number of strategic priorities and commissioning programmes, the roles include independent management of the commissioning process and working with key stakeholders to innovate and transform adult social care provision across the county.  

About you

The right candidates will have: 

  • A proven ability to identify and lead the development and implementation of transformation strategies to deliver the strategic priorities of the department 
  • Experience of successfully managing and delivering a range of projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver complex change programmes 
  • Understanding of the pressures and opportunities facing local authorities and the adult social care market in Cambridgeshire.
