About the role

About the role

At Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adoption we are here to offer safe, stable, and loving homes to children and young people in our care and we are committed to increasing the number of adopters to offer happy, stable homes.

We are looking for a passionate Communications and Content Assistant who will support the adoption service.

What will you be doing?

You will play an essential part supporting the adoption services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adoption on the communications activities within a 24/7 geographically widespread organisation.

You will be responsible for the implementing of internal/external communications campaigns, social media strategies and planning and supporting events. You will also provide administrative support for the Communications Manager.

About you

You will need to be a self-starter and have a keen interest in campaigns, social media and producing a range of internal and external copy including newsletters.

Our culture is based on people. You will be joining a caring and passionate organisation, upholding our corporate values, whilst working at pace.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role is ideal for a recent university graduate or someone who has experience in Communications and Marketing. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be interested in learning new skills quickly and have a hands-on approach.

Due to the nature of this role, and protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, the post will require an enhanced DBS check to be completed.

If you wish to discuss this post please contact Tony Darnell, Communications Manager on 07765 587954 or view the job description here or Joanna Banks on 07442046221.

If you experience technical difficulties with your application please call the helpdesk on 0300 126 7777, option 1.
