About the role

Connecting Cambridgeshire is an exciting programme supporting the delivery of digital connectivity for Cambridgeshire. This includes Gigabit Broadband, improving mobile and public access Wi-Fi coverage and delivering innovative technology projects to tackle city and town transport and environmental challenges, supporting technological innovation and business growth. The programme aspires to make Cambridgeshire a leading digital County.

The Connecting Cambridgeshire team is based at Cambridgeshire County Council, where we promote a culture of team working, trust, respect and excellence.

Online selection interviews will take place on 20/01/2023 followed by face-to-face interviews with selected candidates in Cambridge on 24/01/23.

What will you be doing?

This role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and conscientious project manager looking to be part of an exciting digital programme. The project manager is a key role within the team, required to independently manage the delivery of a range of projects across multiple workstreams within the programme and may include managing the procurement and delivery of high value contracts.

About you

This role requires excellent communication skills and solid project management skills gained through delivering a range of projects, as well as plenty of experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders.

Knowledge of digital infrastructure technologies is highly desirable but not essential for the right person as in house training will be given. You will be a self-starter who can shape and drive forward complex, multi-faceted projects to ensure their successful delivery.
