About the role

Cambridgeshire County Councils adult learning service is rated by Ofsted as 'Good'.  We deliver a wide range of qualifications and community learning across Cambridgeshire to support residents to improve their skills, confidence and employability.

We are currently looking for a full time Curriculum Manager to oversee the quality and compliance of learning courses and projects around Cambridgeshire which are delivered by our external subcontractors and internal delivery partners.   The post holder will help ensure that this provision is of high quality, meets local need and is delivered in the right location at the right time to support the achievement of all contractual and quality external and internal targets.

The post will be fixed term for 2 years.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Subcontracting, MI and Compliance, the post holder will work proactively to build and maintain relationships to enable positive influence of external subcontractors and internal delivery partners to ensure we meet all targets for funding, compliance and quality within budget, alongside an active role within the service’s wider service management team.

You will provide constructive feedback to enable delivery staff to improve performance in line with the Service’s Teaching Learning and Assessment Framework and compliance of the appropriate funding rules.

You will work closely with our existing Curriculum Managers to plan and deliver a range of engaging CPD and standardisation training and workshops to share best practice and improve the quality of delivery, enrichment and wider outcomes and ensure progression pathways are developed.

You will pro-actively identify new opportunities for the development of the provision and partnerships and support the Senior Manager with the on-boarding of any new partners or projects and with contract management.

About you

You will be an experienced adult education manager, focused on improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment in provision.

Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, learner- centered and possess outstanding teaching skills, as well as being able to inspire colleagues and students.

You will have demonstrable experience of improving the quality of delivery through frameworks such as Ofsted and Matrix under Adult Education Budget funding including Community Learning, Traineeships and SWAPs .  You will also have experience of improving the quality of Apprenticeship provision under these quality frameworks.   You will have experience of working to the relevant funding rules associated with this delivery.
