About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Developer Funding Team, which is part of the Council’s wider Planning Service. We are looking for a Developer Funding Finance & Monitoring Officer to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Developer Funding Team comprises the Developer Funding Manager, and a second Developer Funding Finance and Monitoring Officer who is already in post.
You will play an important role in recording Section 106 agreements, which are crucial in securing the infrastructure that Cambridgeshire needs as part of the growth agenda. You will monitor payment triggers and collect financial contributions from developers. You will also ensure that material works are undertaken by developers as required by Section 106 agreements. The role also includes responding to requests for information regarding developer contributions.
The office base is New Shire Hall in Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, with flexibility to work in alternative Council office locations, as well as home-working.
What will you be doing?
Your role will involve a number of tasks day-to-day, including:
- Data handling and maintenance of data on our systems (primarily using Microsoft Excel and the s106 software ‘Exacom’)
- Communicating with external stakeholders to monitor payment triggers and respond to queries, often by phone and email.
- Financial tasks, including calculating payment amounts and raising invoices
You will be part of a small and friendly team working across a number of the Council's functions. If you enjoy interacting with customers, developing processes and learning new software, this could be a great fit for you.
