We are offering an exciting opportunity for a senior town planner with development management experience to join a small but busy team which is rising to the challenge of delivering an ambitious and wide-ranging growth agenda.

What will you be doing?
You will manage a range of planning applications associated with the County Council’s own development proposals for both new and existing schools. Working within the County Planning, Minerals and Waste team you will be expected to provide professional and technical advice on regulation 3 and mineral and waste planning applications. The post holder will need to build strong working relationships with internal consultees and external agencies to ensure that high quality planning decisions can be made within statutory timescales.
About you
We are looking for an experienced planner, will ideally with a minimum of 4 years planning development management experience who is qualified to MRTPI standard. You will need a strong work ethic, be able to manage your own casework and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will have the ability to deal with a variety of customers, and have a sound background in report writing and presentations, including at Planning Committee.
