About the role

Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)- Full or Part Time

We are looking for a skilled Early Years Practitioner to work in our Pre-School (or potentially Reception class).

Teversham is an exciting and vibrant primary school set on the outskirts of the historic city of Cambridge.

Closing date: Friday 22nd March

Pay Scale: Term Time only, Scale 3, point 5

Hours: 8.45- 3.15- full and part time to be considered

The role will include:

• Supporting the team in setting up the environment ready for learning.

• Acting as a key person for a small group of children and build relationships with parents/carers.

• Supporting pupils with SEN needs.

• Working as an effective team member to ensure progress of children in all areas of the EYFS curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

• be patient, kind and understanding and be committed to our ethos of care and support for ALL children

• be able to learn quickly, take advice and direction, as well as be proactive and use initiative

• be able to work well within a team, with strong communication skills and correct use of spoken English

• be committed to supporting all children to make progress

• be willing and able to make a contribution towards school life

Candidates must have:

• A Level 3 childcare qualification (or be willing to work towards this- support provided)

• Be professional, reliable, and committed to best practice within the early years
