About the role
We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join our friendly Corporate Parenting Finance Team. Are you a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a financial environment, and are capable of developing professional relationships with all stakeholders? This is an opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral part of the team, ensuring the processing and delivery of effective, timely payments to all our carers.
The team is based in the Huntingdon area but the post is hybrid with up to two days a week in the office with flexible working, comprehensive pension scheme and other working benefits.

What will you be doing?
You will be highly organised with a keen eye for detail, interested in finance and a great communicator. An understanding or experience of working with confidential information in a customer focused environment and working to tight deadlines is crucial. Good communication and team working skills are also essential, with customer service skills being an advantage.
You will be paying weekly and fortnightly supplements to young people, carers and suppliers as well as gaining working knowledge of the whole team. You would be required to gather data, process the relevant financial information as well as accurately recording and following policies.
About you
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and experience of ContrOCC or other financial software packages would be desirable. However, full in-house training and professional development will be available.
We are looking for you to hold 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent experience. AAT qualifications (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
