Are you interested or have previous experience in Account Payables or Account Receivable? we would love to hear from you as we have an exciting and fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant role within the Adults Finance Team.
The post is a full time permanent working 37 hours per week, part hours can also be considered. The position will be based in Scott House Huntingdon, however currently working remotely and we encourage flexible ways of working with a real focus on your wellbeing.
We are a dedicated team, with a supportive management team to encourage your learning and development. The role will involve effectively utilising a range of IT systems as well as having a pro-active approach with the ability to work independently using your own initiative is also essential.

What will you be doing?
Working as a Finance Assistant within the Payment Team, the role will involve effectively utilising a range of IT systems as well as having a pro-active approach with the ability to work independently using your own initiative is also essential. you will be loading packages of care onto our automated payment systems, ensuring that payments are accurate and to timescales set. You will also be working on a Duty System taking external and internal calls on telephone and dealing with email enquiries from Customers and Providers You must have a good working knowledge of financial experience with Windows & Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet). In addition have experience of using client databases/excel spreadsheets and able communicate at all levels as well as being a good team player.
A training and induction programme will be offered with ongoing support.
About you
The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative and have a methodical approach to tasks and prioritise workloads effectively; to have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; have the ability to understand the County Council financial processes and systems as well as a strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
Good communication skills and a confident telephone manner are essential as you will be the first point of contact for service users, their families and partner organisations who telephone into the office.
A training and induction programme will be offered with ongoing support.
