About the role

The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) is responsible for transforming Greater Cambridge through a City Deal aimed at unlocking the economic growth potential of the area over the coming decades and realising thousands of new jobs and homes.

You will require a good understanding of programme and project management, ideally focused within the Transport field. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and want the challenge that the considerable financial and strategic value of the programme to be delivered will bring. You will need to be a go-getter that doesn’t let the details slip, organised and someone that thrives on interaction to get the work done.

What will you be doing?

As the Senior Programme Officer for the GCP, you will lead on Transport Programme level workstreams such as the GCPs work on Accessibility, Biodiversity Net Gain or Carbon Management. This will require excellent communication skills as you work with major stakeholders such as Network Rail, National Highways and Natural England. You will be overseeing monthly financial and delivery reporting processes across the GCP programme to ensure the smooth running of the GCP and the delivery of its ambitious £500m+ programme. You will ensure that major projects are on track and escalate issues to senior members of the team where required.
