About the role
Cambridgeshire SEND Service 0-25 are looking to appoint a Strategic Lead for SEND Complex Cases and Statutory Functions to effectively plan for and deliver the fulfilment of statutory role and functions of the local authority for SEND. This is a fixed term position for 2 years.
This is an exciting time for SEND in Cambridgeshire as we embark on the Safety Valve Programme with the Department of Education alongside our SEND Transformation Strategy. We have high aspirations for children and young people with SEND and we are clear on what needs to happen locally to unlock a system we know can be sustainable and provide high quality provision and services for all.
Now is the right time to invest in our SEND Leadership through the creation of this brand new post which will report to the Service Director for Education and sit within the SEND Leadership Team.
The Service welcomes expressions of interest from candidates with a highly collaborative approach who are able to bring internal and external partners together to identify, co-produce and deliver high quality support services to meet the needs of the community.
Significant experience working within Statutory Assessment Services and a strong background in change management at a senior level is required to ensure good practice is identified and shared and countywide services are managed in a way that provides consistency and a localised approach. You will lead on an ambitious improvement programme with a focus on the management and control of budgets to ensure services are planned and delivered in a cost-effective way that meets policy and quality requirements.
