About the role
Do you have a passion for working with children and young people by supporting them to overcome difficulties and trauma? We’re looking for a Head of Service to lead our Clinical Team – a unique chance for you to lead and innovate the service.
You’ll provide the lead advisor role for assessment and clinical interventions for children in care with psychological, emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing strategic direction for the further development of services for children in care or on the edge of care, with a particular emphasis on evidence-based practice.

What will you be doing?
You’ll lead and inspire a multidisciplinary clinical team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring adherence to best practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Developing and implementing strategic plans to optimise clinical service delivery, enhance outcomes, and meet our corporate goals. Setting clear performance expectations, providing mentorship and support to staff, and driving accountability for outcomes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive innovation, quality improvement, and service expansion. While promoting evidence-based practice, clinical innovation, and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance clinical excellence.
About you

You’ll have a demonstrable passion for and experience of leading in a clinical setting, with a track record of driving positive change and achieving results. With a strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles.
The ability to inspire and motivate teams is essential, with excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, while building strong relationships and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
You must also have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently.
