About the role

The Spinney Primary School is situated at the heart of a community that is thriving, with a blend of biotechnology business, creative industries and the venue for the Cambridge Folk Festival on the doorstep. The community is truly mixed with many families who are 4th generation Cambridge residents who have been joined by new arrivals from across the world as well as those moving for local employment or relocation. Access to such a strong range of resources means that pupils of all abilities are able to achieve both in and out of the classroom. We are seeking an ambitious head with the right blend of skills, knowledge and experience to lead the school as we place the school at the forefront of local and national education. You will need to be hard working and resilient as 2023 sees a relaunch for the school following a period of change and interim leadership arrangements. Financial confidence and experience of change management will enable you to support the Governing Body as we respond to the needs of all stakeholders. The new Governing Body will be formed on the 1st September 2023 to replace the Interim Executive Board and we look forward to appointing a Leader committed to Cambridge and the exciting opportunities the location of the school brings.
