About the role
The ICT Service is a traded service within Cambridgeshire County Council that provides a range of ICT support services and products to schools across the East of England.
The overall purpose of the job is to coordinate school ICT projects, providing advice and quotations for all associated products and services procured as part of the project delivery.
You will act as the project coordinator for school ICT projects, maintaining project plans and liaising with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective delivery of projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
What will you be doing?
Working with Head Teachers, System Managers, ICT co-ordinators and other school staff as appropriate, you will help them identify their ICT requirements, taking responsibility for preparing detailed and costed proposals which will enable informed purchasing decisions to be made by the school.
You will be working with the Council school build team to assist in the creation and design of solutions for new build schools, as well as for school expansions and school build projects. Work closely with the school’s senior staff, architects and builders to ensure solutions are implemented on time and on budget
Liaising with technical operations colleagues you will help to ensure that all agreed procurement and installation activities are coordinated in an effective manner to ensure agreed installation schedules are met.

You will have great interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people
ICT experience with a good understanding of modern technologies in a wide range of environments – ideally in schools
