Intelligence Lead Assistant Head

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

About the role

        About the Virtual School:

Every local authority must have a Virtual School Head Teacher (VSH), to meet the LAs statutory duties to promote the educational outcomes of children in care and those previously in care. Additionally, the Virtual School Head has a non-statutory remit as strategic lead for children who have or have had a social worker (CiN / CP). In Cambridgeshire there are a team of professionals who support the VSH to fulfil this duty.  To find out more about the Virtual School, please listen to our podcasts. The link to these can be found on our website: Cambridgeshire Virtual School - Learn Together (cambslearntogether.co.uk)

It is an exciting time within the Virtual School.  We are experiencing rapid growth in terms of cohort size and remit. It is imperative that our development is underpinned by the attainment and progress and other key performance indicators (attendance, engagement, suspensions and permanent exclusions) of our full cohort. All members of the Virtual School are reliant on user friendly dashboards and trackers to inform priority areas and actions on a daily, monthly, termly, annual and 5 yearly basis.

About the Role:

The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the Virtual School has continued and appropriate access to developed and well-maintained data dashboards and trackers as well as the necessary training required to utilise them to best effect.  The post-holder will ensure they remain outward looking and will be proactive in identifying and analysing incoming data, sharing key points with other senior leaders and wider partners to inform the continued development of the service.

The post-holder will also be responsible for the collation of data to be used in key statutory returns, the annual report and to inform reporting to the Virtual School Management Board and elected members.
