About the role
We are currently recruiting for 5 lead reablement workers across Cambridgeshire. Locations include Cambridge, Huntingdon and March. We have full time, part time and fixed term contracts available.
What will you be doing?
Lead reablement workers support adults to maintain and regain independence while living at home. You will be responsible for agreeing goals with our service users and reviewing their progress, in their own homes. Most, but not all, of the people we provide service to are older adults who may have been unwell or are struggling to maintain their independence at home. You will work alongside Support Workers, with Social Workers and receive support from Occupational Therapists.
About you
We treat all of our service users as individuals and put their needs at the heart of what we do. You will have some experience in this kind of work. You will get excellent training and supervision as part of an established and supportive team. There is a car lease scheme and pay enhancements for weekend working. The service covers seven days and so there will be some weekend working.
You will need to have a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording as well as an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship.
As a Lead Reablement worker you will need to have experience of supporting a person with care and support needs as well as knowledge around Care Act and CQC.
You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as IT skills. Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion as well as the need for safety and confidentiality in the role.
