About the role
Do you have an interest or passion in climate change mitigation and adaptation? Are you looking for a position where you can make a real difference to help us deliver our carbon reduction plans across the authority by supporting the learning of others?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Team within Cambridgeshire County Council as a Learning and Development Advisor working on the development and delivery of Net Zero learning solutions in support of the Authority’s Vision, Strategic Ambitions and Climate Change and Environment Strategy.
As part of the wider Strategy and Partnerships Directorate, the Learning and Development Team sits within HR Services. We provide a blended learning offer through online training, face to face courses and eLearning modules to CCC employees enabling all of us to best serve the communities and citizens of Cambridgeshire.

This role, offered initially on a one-year contract, will focus on delivering established Learning and Development interventions alongside colleagues in the Council’s Climate Change and Energy Team as well as the development of new learning interventions. The post may be extended for a further 12 months subject to funding agreements.
The learning interventions could be in a virtual classroom setting, face to face classroom environment or through the provision of self-directed learning materials and will include Carbon Literacy Trust accredited training.
Although the focus of the role is the development and delivery of Net Zero learning solutions, there will also be opportunities to work across other functions within the team to support the wider Learning and Development offer, this is an extensive offer, which includes:
-
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
-
Management and leadership development

Travel will also be required across the county to facilitate the delivery of face to face in-person training.
