About the role
Do you have a passion for Cambridgeshire history, sharing local stories and engaging with audiences of all ages? If the answer is yes, then this could be the role for you.
You will be part of the Library Development Team, helping to shape the future of the service and reporting directly to the Library Development Manager and the wider Library Leadership Team. Your focus is to manage, maintain and develop the Local Studies collections and to increase use and reach new users.
This is a hybrid role. For three days a week you will be based at Cambridge Central Library's Cambridgeshire Collection, working alongside the full-time Local Studies Assistant. During your remaining time, you will be able to work flexibly.

What will you be doing?

You will also advise on the use of local studies materials in other libraries across the county, supporting library management teams in ensuring local studies materials are engaging our diverse communities.
Responsibilities will include helping to staff the Cambridgeshire Collection, facilitating access to the collections, feeding into business planning, engaging with local history societies and identifying new opportunities, partnerships, audiences and projects.
