About the role
If you are looking for an exciting and stimulating role working at the heart of a large organisation, then this role could be for you. This offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership of the organisation, and to shape the way the Leader’s business support needs are efficiently met.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive person to provide comprehensive support to the Leader of the Council, covering a wide range of business support functions. Working directly for the Leader, but within a team providing support to the wider leadership group, you will have the opportunity to support projects and pieces of work across different areas of the Council as well as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings and making sure the Leader is appropriately prepared and briefed for the week ahead.
You will be professional, well organised, able to use your own initiative and be confident to act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling enquiries and correspondence with professionalism and discretion.
You should be confident in the use of IT systems and a strong communicator with the ability to create good working relationships with people inside and outside the organisation, as well as having a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
This role will offer variety and a strong sense of the valuable work carried out every day to deliver on the Council’s ambitions and commitment to Cambridgeshire being a Greener, Fairer and more Caring county. So if you also have proven experience as a PA, are highly organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively, we would love to hear from you.
If you are interested and would like to discuss the opportunity, please contact Stephanie.Knight@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
