Prevention and Early Intervention Business Support Officer

About the role

Our Prevention and Early Intervention (PandEI) Services are hard at work delivering multi-disciplinary, short-term social care interventions to keep adults across Cambridgeshire living independently.

We are seeking a Business Officer on a part-time basis to provide administrative support to a P&EI team member due to their reasonable adjustment. This member of staff is a Technician in PandEI’s Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) and installs a range of technological devices in people’s homes to support them, and their carers, with challenges to everyday living.

This position is 18 hours per week, to be worked flexibly across the week. The salary for Business Officers starting at Scale 4 (£22,369 - £24,054) pro rata, with the opportunity for performance-based pay progression.

The post is based at Amundsen House, St Ives, however, occasional travel to other locations within Cambridgeshire may be required from time to time. We adopt a hybrid approach to work so, once trained and depending on your work tasks, you may be able to work some of your hours from an appropriate home environment.

The closing date is 08/05/2023. Interviews will be held face-to-face in one of our office-locations on 11/05/2023.

What will you be doing?

Our Business Officers provide essential administrative support across PandEI working as part of dynamic and customer focused teams. You will be:

  • Providing knowledgeable administrative support to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Communicating with a range of internal and external customers by telephone and email
  • Preparing equipment and ensuring appropriate stock levels
  • Ensuring tasks dealt with in a concise and timely manner
  • Ensuring information is accurately typed, recorded and systems updated
  • Personal administration

  • Great IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to work in databases

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, providing the ability to represent the service in a positive and professional manner
  • Awareness of the need for confidentiality, sensitivity of information and GDPR
