About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Provider Services Group for a Registered Manager at Haviland Way, Cambridge, CB4 2RA.

Haviland Way is an 4 bed children’s home for children and young people aged 8 to 18 who have a learning or physical disability and or additional health or behavioural needs.

In this role your leadership skills will be of vital benefit in making a difference of risk and needs assessments as well as operating within statutory, regulatory and standards requirements. You will ensure that all Children and Young People have inclusive opportunities, activities and are working towards agreed outcomes. Experience of developing and coordinating staff will also be essential, as is delivering a co-ordinated service through effective liaison with the Social Workers, all other connected professional agencies and parents/carers.

What will you be doing?

  • Budget Management
  • Monitor staff training, Supervisions, sickness input on ERP
  • Prepare and produce reports to Group Manager, Service Manager
  • Attend Social Care meetings.
  • Monitor annual leave, Rota and staffing.
  • Monitor Bookings
  • Management Re-group.
  • Oversee and Monitor/Audit all Management Files.
  • Monitor all documentation and sign off Body Maps/Incident Forms/DCN’s/Restraint Sanction.
  • Focus on being Ofsted Ready.

About you

We Require:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Residential care home setting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Equivalent

· Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities or appropriate transferrable skills from other residential settings.

· Experience supervising and managing a staff team

  • The ability to work rota providing 24/7 cover and participate in an on-call rota
