Relief Community Library Assistant

About the role

We are looking for relief Community Library Assistants to join our team at Wisbech Library.  This will be on an “as and when required basis” with no guaranteed weekly hours.  Hours will be agreed by mutual arrangement, sometimes at short notice, and may include Saturdays.

You would be working on the library counter, serving customers and helping at library events.

Experience of working in a customer service environment is essential.  Experience of working in libraries would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

What will you be doing?

You would be working on the library counter, serving customers and helping at library events.

Be enthusiastic about what public libraries can offer and be able to promote and deliver services.

Training will be given on specific library systems, but an ability to work with IT is essential.
