Reunification and Placement Stability Family Worker

About the role

We are seeking Family Workers to the reunification and placement stability team where the focus will be on assessing families to consider if a young person can return home. The process will be underpinned by the NSPCC’s reunification framework and will require you to contribute to multi-agency assessments and deliver interventions to children, young people and families. We will focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for our young people with all permanence options being considered and explored.

What will you be doing?

To provide support, guidance and supervision to the family workers and provide case oversight and direction on designated family workers cases in addition to holding a case load of 12-16 cases. 

To seek solutions to strengthen care arrangements and support our most vulnerable young people back into in-house and in county provisions that better meet their needs.  
 

About you

You will be a qualified and registered social worker with excellent
communication and written skills.  You will be familiar with trauma informed 
approaches and be able to confidently manage situations involving risk. 
Successful applicants will be highly motivated and committed to working as 
part of a team. The ability to liaise and form positive relationships with partner 
agencies is essential. You will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of 
the service and willing to work occasional planned work on evenings or 
weekends.
