About the role
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Public Health Manager in Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council shared Public Health Joint Commissioning Unit. You will be part of a dedicated commissioning division with a vision for innovation and continued improvement.
What will you be doing?
You will be highly motivated, experienced with a dynamic forward-thinking public health practitioner ‘can do’ approach and a proven track record of delivery.
You will be joining the service at a critical stage with the recent launch of the National 10- year Drugs Strategy ‘From Harm to Hope’ and associated investment to drive through local ambitions to improve local services and recovery opportunities as well as continual focus on restoration and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our local residents and service users are at the heart everything we do. Working across the county you will be expected to drive improvement through collaboration and partnership working with specialist services and partner agencies.
About you
This role requires proven experience of working within the public health arena and in particular has sound knowledge of substance misuse (both policy and practice), commissioning experience, epidemiology, data analysis, auditing and quality improvement and an ability to manage and deliver prevention-based projects to deliver change.
