We’ve changed the way that we structure our Adult Social Care teams in Cambridgeshire and have an opportunity for you to join our Adults Community Teams as a qualified Social Worker.
We have full and part time vacancies in our teams across Cambridgeshire, covering:
- Huntingdonshire (based in Huntingdon)
- Fenlands (based in March)
- East Cambridgeshire (based in Ely)
- Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire (based in Cambridge)
We’ve embraced new ways of working so our social work teams can work where they need to and have the chance to be part of a collaborative team environment with strong working relationships with health professionals and partners to achieve better outcomes for the adults we support.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be liaising with other departments, undertaking Social Care and Mental Capacity Act assessments, completing Safeguarding as well as care and support planning, to achieve better outcomes for the adults we support. You'll need to be inquisitive and provide evidence based, proportionate recording with a keen focus on strength-based practice.
We’ll give you the scope to take your own decisions based on your professional judgement and provide ongoing support and challenge to encourage your development.
Our Community Teams are currently working to a hybrid model, with part-remote and flexible options available in line with our service needs. Once fully trained, our Social Workers will work from the office up to three days each week. This gives our Social Workers a quiet space and plenty of time for reflection whilst still balancing collaborative working and peer support. It has also increased our Social Workers autonomy and has had a positive impact on wellbeing and work-life balance.
We're looking for confident and dynamic individuals who enjoy making a difference in their local community, are curious and spot things that others might not see, enjoys building relationships and likes to explore possibilities.
- Be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration
- Have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
