About the role
Cambridgeshire County Council Targeted Support Service provides support to children, young people, and their families. Each district team consists of Family Workers, Child and Family Centre workers, Young People’s Worker’s, Senior Transitions Advisors, Transitions Advisors, Client Researchers, and managers. The team provides targeted early intervention support to reduce the risk of harm and the escalation of problems, which support keeping families together and achieve positive outcomes.
The post of Targeted Support Service Manager is an exciting role, providing local leadership and coordination of targeted support provision in a specific geographical area. We are looking to recruit a full time (37 hours) Service Manager for the East Cambridgeshire district.

What will you be doing?
Within the role you will manage and lead a multidisciplinary targeted support district team through the application of Supporting Family principles, working with other managers, Social Care, schools, health and other partner agencies. This is an ideal opportunity for a professional who wants to develop their management and leadership skills within children’s services.
The Targeted Support District team consists of a number of roles; Young People Workers, Transition Advisers, Family Workers, Targeted Support Assistant Managers and the Child and Family Centre Team. You will work closely with the other Targeted Support Service managers, the District Safeguarding Managers and their teams. Additionally, you will build an effective relationship with the Early Help Hub.

- You will ensure safeguarding and delivery of high quality provision through highly effective case audit management and staff supervision.
- Ability to work creatively to achieve and
implement strategies and new initiatives and inspire others to think and behave differently.
- Do you have a relevant level 4 qualification?
- Are you able to travel across the East Cambridgeshire District?
