About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Cambridgeshire County Council as a Youth Progression Adviser. We have 5.5 full time equivalent positions available on a fixed term basis initially until 31st March 2026 as the funding for these positions has been provided by the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer project provided by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. These roles will support the Youth Progression and Transitions Manager to deliver on key performance indicators within the project as well as the wider performance linked to young people in education, training or employment and all the processes linked to this work. These posts are based on a new role to work with young people who are either at risk of becoming NEET or are currently NEET and support them to make the progression to a more positive outcome. These posts will predominately work with young people aged 18-21 years old but may also support the work of the service for the younger age range of 15-18.
The post-holders will be based in one of the District areas in the county and will work collaboratively with the Targeted Support service as well as other key partner agencies.
The closing date for these positions is 28th July 2025 and we are looking to hold interviews in the week of 4th August 2025.
You will be required to hold a full and valid driving license and have access to a vehicle or have the ability to otherwise travel efficiently between locations, both countywide and beyond.
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
