Join Our Team: Coroner Service Administrator Opportunities
We are looking to appoint three dedicated Administrators to the Coroners Service. If you are organised, efficient, and committed to supporting your community during sensitive times, we encourage you to apply.
As a Coroner Service Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the Coroner’s office, providing essential administrative support for inquests and related proceedings. This position is ideal for individuals who combine strong organisational skills with empathy, assisting the Coroner, Coroner’s officers, and bereaved families.
We seek candidates who consistently deliver high standards of customer service, offer compassionate support to families, and collaborate effectively with external agencies. professionalism, reliability, and a respectful approach are vital for success in this role.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- An organised and efficient approach to work
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Manage general office tasks, including document management, record-keeping, and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Email Processing: Monitor and respond to emails received by the service.
- Court Usher Duties: Support inquest hearings, including ushering duties at Lawrence Court and Vantage House in Huntingdon, assisting proceedings, attendees, and coroners.
- Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for bereaved families, external agencies, and partner organisations, providing information as needed.
