Pre-School Deputy Manager (Maternity Leave)
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioner or Teaching Assistant, who is at least Level 3 qualified, to work in our Pre-School, as a deputy manager.
The vacancy is for a maternity cover contract, commencing ASAP.
There is flexibility available, with the job either being full time, or a job share, with a second deputy manager also sharing the role with you, if this was preferred.
Teversham is an exciting and vibrant primary school set on the outskirts of the historic city of Cambridge.
We have exciting plans for our Pre-School provision, with a new, purpose designed building opening in Autumn 2024.

Pay Scale: Term Time only Scale 5 Point 12 (FTE £26,421, £13.70 per hour)
Hours: 8.30-3.30 daily, minimum of 3.5 days
Role will include:
• Leading provision on a daily basis, supported by the Pre-School manager who teaches in the reception class and takes overall responsibility for the Early Years provision.
• Working alongside the second deputy manager if a job share role
• Provide and lead safe, high quality education and care for the Pre-School children
• Lead and manage staff on a day-to-day basis
• Contribute to and implement Early Years policies
• Ensure that all statutory, legal and setting obligations are followed and met
• Take an active role in supporting the SEN children, along with the SENDco
Candidates must:
• Be trained to Level 3 or above
• Have proven experience and knowledge in leading learning in early years

• Be proactive, show initiative, be professional, ensuring the well-being and safety of all
• Have very good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Be keen to further develop their own skills and understanding

• Be committed to supporting all children to make progress
• Be willing and able to make a contribution towards school life
• Have full DBS clearance and meet all safeguarding checks
